Shift was before Hot Pursuit 2010, and was more simulation-based

Well, they did it right.

With tracks like 

Glendale

Spa

Donnington

Brands Hatch

Nordschleife

Willow Springs

and more, they did it right.

Name a car, they have it.

They had an upgrade system where you could add nitrous and other add-ons to your car

The career mode has you through various events fighting for a spot in the top tier of motorsport, in this game, called the "NFS World Tour"
