Rules for flags (video below) but works well enough for profile pics.
1. Keep it simple, something a child could draw
2. Something you can tell what it is even when the image is small. No details
3. High contrast, and not many colors
4. Simple shapes
5. No words
6. Absolutely do no write your name on it.
