I get on here to chill after work and wake my brain up in the morning. Needless to say I lose a lot of games from being tired or still half asleep, and I don't really care about that one bit (obviously we all prefer not to lose, but the game serves its purpose in my context)

What I find remarkable is the amount of immature nonsense put forward by some wanna be superstars, because they might have won, or even more hilarious, when they think they are going to win, and then lose. Guys this is chess ... there is not going to be any world changing event because you may have beaten some guy sitting here in his underpants having a coffee, waking up. You are not the next Einstein because someone made a bad move. By all means if you are the next Einstein, go and do something more useful than regurgitating some stupid line you heard from a movie or music video. I mean really? I am shaking in my shoes at the taunts (HAHAHAHAHA) I may just go and hide for the rest of the day in sorrow that I lost a game (sarcasm is the inflection there folks)

Have fun, win all you can, learn all you will and try and grow up a little if you are one of the aforementioned folks. If your ego depends on winning a game of chess, you need to work on your self esteem, not your smack talk :)

Peace chess people. Thanks for the games.

I think you should copy and paste this into a message to whoever you were playing. Otherwise, it will be wasted.

Sadly it happens often.

Alas blitz is known for trash talking.  It's mostly just adolescent hormonal imbalance expressing itself at the 1000 level.  I believe the quality and general wittiness of banter between the players increases as you leave the mostly scholastic ranks.  Two suggestions would be to maybe join some groups, make some reliable friends you could play with or of course you could just turn off the chat.
