relax and be yourself

I think for me I just want to have the best time I can and be the best person I can. That said I've enjoyed wondering and I enjoy my own truth. But then that's still about having a good time.

Perhaps so long as your view brings happiness to you and no harm to others it's a good thing.

I like Troy's point that we ought to consider the happiness of all and not ourselves individually.
TomGa
My friend for me truth is like money. You can't take it with you. So as long as it's helpful to you and those around you then great. Whatever the heck you believe.

hmmm . so how can we answer this question ?

is there  a method / way to find the truth ?

TomGa
I'm wondering the same
TomGa
Oh. I see what you mean. But then you've moved away from the original problem. Is it necessary to find the truth or only to imagine you have to be peaceful. Nice question though.
TomGa
My own experience was that the idea the truth is within is right. To find the truth look within. Watch.

sorry  for moving away from original question . i just thought it was related to first question . because if we have a way of finding the truth then there is no need to be at false peace . being at false peace may lead to a negative result- which we may regret after death ..

TomGa
Oh. No that's fine. I just think that it's helpful to notice what we are thinking about
TomGa
I understand your point. You're saying it's not appropriate to be peaceful if that peace will lead to suffering long term.

The Alice in the song was restaurant-owner Alice M. Brock, who in 1964 used $2,000 supplied by her mother to purchase a deconsecrated church in Great Barrington, Massachusetts, where Alice and her husband Ray would live. It was here rather than at the restaurant—which came later—where the song's Thanksgiving dinners were actually held.

TomGa
That's a valid point. If my house is on fire but I'm watching tv and don't notice that's not so wonderful.
TomGa
Hmm
TomGa
Perhaps though the key question here is can peace be achieved by a false truth as well as the actual truth?
TomGa

We might both discover if we knew the actual true truth that neither of us would be peaceful at all.
TomGa
Why don't we be honest? Let's look at this objectively. Are you at peace? Am I?
TomGa
I'd say when I look at my view of life and the world I say yeah. That makes sense to me. Okay.
TomGa
But as for general experience I would say no actually. I don't think I'm at peace altogether. I think that I'm continually agitated. Never fully relaxed.

for sake of argument i suppose that the idea " truth is within " is right .

suppose every human looks within himself for truth  and comes up with a concept of peace which each calls as  THE TRUTH .what we will observe is that these TRUTHS will be in contradiction to each other . because what i call as "virtue"  someone else might call that as

"vice " .

contradictory "truths" cannot be truths ...

the truth can only be one .because if truth is not one then there can be no false .

so the idea that "truth is within " leads to contradiction .
