Here's my chess life story:
I learnt the rules as a little kid but didn't really play except against my dad
I played a school chess thing in 2023 and came 2nd somehow even tho I barely knew how the pieces moved
So my dad was like "WOW MY SON HAS A GIFT LETS SIGN HIM UP FOR CHESS TOURNAMENTS"
Then I lost like every game in an actual OTB tournament 💀
But someone told me about lichess and I got addicted. Started improving fast and I got a coach. Played tens of thousands of games until I got to 2500 lichess recently in bullet
So I'm doing more OTB tournaments this summer and I've won all my games so far in the noob sections. Hopefully should keep climbing rating and next summer go for a title ![]()
Nah, I didn't. I just played chess for fun, I didn't take it THAT seriously.
