I liked the movies as well but started with the games. That said the origional RE 1 was very rusty and later redone on GameCube very well might I add, however the movements were still clumbsy un-like RE4,,shame. RE4 though a great game was less than perfect due to the change in direction of story line (no zombies?) . Errr. 5 is supposed to bring back the old RE story line with RE4 plus extras yet to be seen. We will see.
Haven't seen extinction yet, got to wait for DVD to see it, hope it is as good as I've heard it is!

Extinction was the best movie IMO so far.
I love Resident Evil. Especially RE2 and the remake for the Gamecube. I thought RE4 was way off track. Not only was it way off the story but it was a subpar action game (no strafing??). Grenades were hard to throw and there should have been a hot key for fast weapon switches. I mean lets face it, RE4 is not survival horror but action horror, and it fell short. I felt the same way about the movies. It should've been a scared Jill fighting her way through zombies and all else and not so action oriented.
I am a fan of resident evil(well,actually the actress is very cute{the fifth element with bruce willis}). i have seen the first two movies and will eventually see the rest of the trilogy. the games(ugh) are the worst i have ever seen with horrible camera angles and movement,awful game development and very little playability! As is often the case, the movies don't translate well into video games(also sometimes books don't translate well into movies).

I liked 4 but was disapointed at first as they really changed the Zombie format making the fear factor for me go away. I agree that it was not survival Horror but action horror instead. I've warmed up to the game since then and know Capcom heard enough complaints to to get back to it's roots with 5,,,, if it ever comes out, jeeez..

Hey doctor ice, I found the origional games tough to get used to but they really fixed em up for the game cube. 0 & 4 are worlds apart all together form the old games. The older games on the origional PS left me feeling like my charcters were doing the Robot dance from the 80s.

RE4 is great for the Wii pick it up. It's basically the collectors edition, since it has the content from both gamecube and ps2 in it. Also with the wiimote it works very nicely. I like the re-made RE for gamecube looks alot nicer and is of course a great game. The movies were pretty nice also, I have yet to see the new one.
