correct Paul    x= n x n + 1

this one was pretty easy.  Basically just work backwards

Avatar of grover-dill

That's obvious because I'm quite lost now. Paul take my hand and lead me out of the mathimatical forest

I'm surprised that the orginator of this puzzle didn't have the time for math geeks. They must rip

p.s. math geeks - good

it is also possible n=nxn+n

No ever a 14 year old can find a flaw in this. Look at this, X=X+1, it is in theory the same thing; yet is compleatly wrong.

Hey everyone else! Rember to figure out how to subscript to make it right, otherwise your just using any exponent.

OK, Scutters! Here's one for you and your reader:

A man walks into a bar asks for a glass of water. The barman picks up his rifle and shoots into the air. The man says, 'Thank you,' and leaves (no tree involved). Why?

It was raining out so the man filled up his glass from the rain coming in thru the bullet hole. How badly am I off (no pun intended)

Avatar of Beast719

The man had hiccups.  The barman gave him a surprise to cure him.

The "bicycles" are Bicycle playing cards; the man was cheating at cards, and when the extra card was found, he was killed by the other players.

Here's a blatant rip off of the Tappit Bros. but they steal theirs anyway so two wrongs make a left, right?

Two brothers meet at a nearby bar. One of them gets sauced up, and the other, more or less designated driver, is left with the conundrum of driving both of their cars back to his apartment for the night. He comes up with an idea:

He'll drive his car a block, park it, walk back and get his brother's car. He'll park it two blocks away, go back and drive his car the third block to get home, and then fetch the other car.

The brother, despite his impaired state, suggests a sound plan which would save his sober sibling two blocks of walking. What was it?
