A King on the board died today.  Rest in Peace Michael Jackson.

Knightly

Does he really deserve honour?

OpeningGambit

He deserves honour.  The King of Pop deserves honour.  He was, is and always will be the best musician ever, even if his personal life is, shall we put it slightly questionable.

Thriller is the best, and best selling album ever.

R.I.P. Michael Jackson.

Michael Jackson  "KinG of PoP" he left us with a lot of good memories and great dance moves bless his soul.

I am still heartbroken.  Sure he had his quirks;  growing up the way he did, who wouldn't have?  Abuse does strange things to people.  A pedophile he was not;  smart, a user of good judgment, he was not.  But he had many God-given (I believe) talents:  an excellent wordsmith/poet (I personally love "You Are Not Alone), songwriter, and musician, dancer, entertainer.  I think he holds some sort of record about his humanitarianism too.

Just saw some footage of his home with chessboards in the background.  Didn't know until then that he played.  That's cool.

RIP

Ur a bit late. 13.5 years, that might be a new bump record.

It was a shame he died, especially the way he did. Our society gets incompetent people in the medical field when "doctor" degrees are handed out for reasons other than knowledge/skill/ability. That Conrad guy only served about 2 years in prison, even a bit less I think.

But anyway...  eee hee... shamone.

Indeed a shame. The only Michael Jackson songs I ever really listen to are the Jackson 5 Christmas songs that play on the radio, but the man was still a legend.

Much like a gambit, Billy Jean was in fact not his lover. Otherwise if the kids was his son, that would be going too far even for MJ.

Thanks for sharing for opinion HiramHolliday even though no one asked for it.

“Beat It”, contrary to it being a gang-themed video, and while sounding like it’s in the theme of Frankie’s “Relax”, is MJ saying he’s tired of just beating it and made the decision to be bad.

Gawd… I could do do this all day with MJ lyrics.

Michael got an absolute bad wrap, and it was because some idiots wanted part of his fortune so they made him out a monster to children, when Michael only saw the children to be innocent from the harsh world of such idiots that gave him a bad wrap!

Love MJ or hate MJ,  new generations of kids will be discovering his music for decades and decades to come!

MJ went to court and was found not guilty.

It's hard to know with celebrities since people will accuse them simply because of their fame, and also people will defend them simply because of their fame.

Good music but strange behaviour, like nearly dropping his kid off the balcony 3 floors up.
