Sudden arrhythmic death syndrome (SADS) is a syndrome that claims the life of people unexpectedly while they sleep. It is somewhat of a medical phenomenon but scientists are closing in on the theory that nightmares might be the culprit behind these horrible deaths. Nightmares can cause panic attacks, heart attacks, and make people stop breathing. Dreams can be very convincing and those in slumber will sometimes physically respond to them, like a reflex. So if you dream that you are drowning, you may actually hold your breath.
Have you ever woken in the middle of the night but not been able to move?
