Rollercoasters?

When I can manage to tear myself away from the computer, I love to go to theme parks and ride the rollercoasters. This one in Blackpool is one of my favourites. Anybody else enjoy these rides and where is your favourite?

Just last semester, I decided it was time to get over my fear of roller coasters. Georgia Tech hosts a one night Six Flags visit for a reduces student price and gives transportation to the park during the fall semester, so I got a ticket and went with my friends. First thing Itell my friend is "Don't let me chicken out. Do whatever it takes to get me to ride!"

First coaster is one I've ridden before, the Great American Scream Machine. The night just started so there' no wait at all. An easy one to start on, but when it was built, it was the highest wooden roller coster in the world. It was bumpy, but fun and got me into the mood.

Second, one of the park's newer coasters, Superman. It's designed so that you're sort of in a "flying" position, and you spend the ride hanging from the rails. Well, guess what? The ride stopped hauling us near the top of the lift! We were stuck for a while, too, about 10 minutes. 10 minutes of looking stright down 100 feet to the ground, hoping the ride wasn't about to crash down. I definetly got more than I bargined for, I was getting over my fear of heights as well!

The ride got started up again, but I didn't let the experience stop me from riding other rides. I went on and rode another four costers!

Roller coasters are great, I can't wait to go back this fall. :D

I have been a bunch of roller coasters

Here's a funny story:

A bunch of my friends got into Six Flags for free, but since it was getting so late, we only got to go on one ride for the entire night, which was Meduesa roller coaster!  We all had fun on this coaster, but it was scary going down the first hill.  I'd like to go on it again if I ever go back.

One other question: is Six Flags Magic Mountain in southern California still operating? I heard it was going to close down for some reason.  I am sad if it forever closed.

That Superman ride looks cool. It's different

from the one I was on though. Here's the Superman ride at Six

Thanks for the link, I can see the difference now. The one you went on is in the flying position under the track! Wow, that looks great fun.
