Hmm. Well I don't know much about rugby buddy! I thought maybe you guys might like to talk about it. I did enjoy your analysis though. Well written. It is something of a heroic game I suppose. Like American football.
No disrespect to USA but I am a conventionalist-Rugby first!So far we don't seem to have many contributors.Two contributors seem to think that because of the potential injury factor -leave well alone.I would say Boxing probably ranks higher.Generally in these days the obsession with health and safety knows no sensible bounds.Even the game of "Conkers" has been banned in some schools.I played conkers at school-I'll bet you did too?Re favourite Rugby stars-I think we agree on Johnny Wilkinson.Which other two would you choose?
Referring again to the 1995 Rugby World Cup.This was the third Rugby Word Cup.It was hosted and won by South Africa.South Africa defeated New Zealand with Joel Stransky scoring a drop goal in extra time to win the match.At the conclusion Nelson Mandela the President of South Africa wearing a Springbok Rugby shirt and cap presented the Webb Ellis Cup to the South African Captain Francois Pienaar.Here is the iconic photograph of the presentation.In 1994 South Africa had emerged from decades of oppression of the Black population with the first democratic election.The victory in the 1995 RWC was undoubtedly a factor in the healing process which led to the birth of the "Rainbow Nation"

Sadly Tom-Tom there seem to be a bunch of sissies around.To be fair Rugby has to a large extent been played and revered by relatively few nations.America to be fair has their American Football with "touch downs" etc.Now Rugby seems to be gaining more popularity there.I'm not so sure we should start a boxing thread.Health and safety zealots might feel our collars

I feel so inadequate now. I'm sorry. How about this? Tell me you're favourite ever game. I recall listening to England winning the cup with Jonny Wilkinson doing the honours. Hooray!
Never underestimate your essential qualities Tom-Tom.Never admit to inadequacies.Some of the w**kers on this site just revel in human misery of others.Certainly judging from their put-down remarks on others.Tell them to ggs.You are what you are.My goodness I better be careful before I am sucked into the philosophical treadmill upon which certain other contributors seem to thrive.I think my favourite ever game was the conclusion of the Rugby World Cup 1995 when the South African Team knocked the Sh*t out of New Zealand.Fabulous.I still play the video and enjoy.Johnny "Golden Balls" was also magic as you rightly point out.
In memory of Tom.Hope you are still playing hard.Rugby still rules OK !
No doubt in my mind that South Africa will win the finals at the Rugby World Cup 2019.

Well here we are again Rugby World Cup 20l9! Early days but the result of a few matches
are interesting.Ireland V Scotland 27-3. New Zealand V South Africa 23-13.Sadly certain "bias " appeared to enter into the equation. which did not give the Boks a "level playing field" (metaphorically speaking)
England certainly gave the USA a good pasting. 45-7..My money is at present on the strong likelihood of South Africa playing Ireland in the Finals.We shall see
