Gold rush is like that. When run properly, it has changing alliances, spectacular betrayals, insane wars and lots of AOOOs. I'll handle the AOOOs and PvP if you want.
When run improperly with bad rules, it's boring and full of farming.
Make the rules flexible and subject to radical change too.

Dagger - 750 gold ( Description) - Just a normal dagger. Won’t do you that well in combat.
Pistol - 1000 gold ( Price increases depending on wanted ammo ) - (Description ) - Your normal pistol. Nothing fancy here.
Dagger of Strength - 1250 gold - (Description ) This is as same as the Dagger mentioned above, but it is way stronger and is nice in combat.
Bomb - 1500 gold - (Description) This bomb sends a 25m wave! It will do a lot of damage.
Random Trick - 2000 gold - ( Description ) You get a random trick!
Bomb Eye - 2500 gold - ( Description ) Your eye plants a bomb secretly! PM me where it is planted.
Heal Drink - 3000 gold - ( Description) You heal all damage from you!
Super Control - 3500 gold - ( Description ) Go into a NPC’s body for 3 actions!
Disguise - 4000 gold - ( Description ) Clone yourself as a NPC! You have all your items and stats with you.
Specific Trick - 4500 gold - ( Description ) Get a specific trick!
Mind Read - 4750 gold - (Description ) Read a NPC’s mind! 3 uses until the ability is lost in you.
Longsword - 4800 gold - ( Description ) You have a sword…. But long!
AK-47 - 5000 gold - ( Description ) Wow, an AK-47. And it’s loaded with 30 ammo! Nice.
Mega AK-47 - 10000 gold - ( Description ) AK with 250 ammo. Noice.
Lava Longsword - 15000 gold - ( Description ) Longsword…… but lava!
Lavatic Longsword - 25000 gold - ( Description ) A Longsword combined with water bullets and explode lava!
Learn Random Skill - 25000 gold - ( Description ) All these skills are related to robbing and combat. You will learn more about skills soon!
