I'd hope for those who need something translated, our helpful friends with knowledge of both languages could assist. Sometimes words cannot be copied and put into an online translator with ease as if in an image.

I'll start off with this. Besides the word Mockba which I know is Moscow, what are the other words on these items?

The left image says Minsk, which is a The Capital of Belarus, the left down item has the words Чемпионат Европы Минск, which means European Championship Minsk.

The other half of the image, which is on the right, says Спортивная Гимнастика (the item up left on the right half of the image) means Gymnastics 🤸‍♀️. The item on the right up corner says Художественная гимнастика, which means Rhythmic Gymnastics.

The Moskva one you know, means Moscow and the last item in the down right corner says VI Spartakiada Narodov SSSR,
VI means 6
Spartakiada Narodov SSSR means Spartakiad of people is SSSR,
SSSR means USSR

So Гимнастика is gymnastics. Спортивная I can now copy into a translator but I get "sports".

I guess the proper translation would then by gymnastic sport.

Спортивная is an adjective and means athletic, active, sporty, etc. I think the best translation is Athletic Gymnastics (if that even exists 🤔🤨🧐)

Yeah, you are right too :)

When there is a combination of those two words, Спортивная and Гумнастика the adjective does not mean directly sports. Yes the main “root” of the word is СПОРТ, which means sport and it has to do with sports. As you can see, there are some other letters added, and the meaning changed a little bit. In this example it means mostly Athletic Gymnastics. Sorry If I annoyed you. Just explaining :) You got it! Nice Job!

it's interesting how the russian language came to be: the greek influence and how letters were designed to be 'backwards'. wish there could be some minor changes for universality. in german, ss such as in strasse could be interchanged with straBe, the B in greek letter style. The problem in this german example is the desire to keep the B letter instead of making it similar to a letter or set of letters conducive to a greater part of the world.
