Should I do this?

Some of you may know that I skipped 5th grade. Now I have the option to skip 7th grade as well, which would be great, except for a few things. 1) My twin sister and my friends are not going to skip to my same grade, except for maybe one. 2) I might be in classes that are too hard for me. 3) I'd be in the same grade as people who are all at least two years older than me. But I do want to skip a grade, even though I don't know if it's prudent. Your thoughts?

Nah you wanna skip it gives you a chance to advance faster in life

Both good points - that I've already considered 😭

There are many viewpoints you can take.

You can skip a grade, be less close with your friends, have more difficult schoolwork, and have to interact with people two years older than you. This could definitely benefit you later on.

or

You don't skip the grade, stay close with your current friends, have an unbelievably easy school year, but not progress through school.

I would talk to your parents and voice any concerns you have. They'll help you pick the right choice.

Try looking at grade 7 subjects and see if you understand them, if not you should stay

I'd do it, grade 8 isnt terribly difficult

Another thing holding me back is this: one of my sisters skipped into 8th grade after having completed both 6th and 7th grade, and she nearly failed her classes. And something I forgot to mention: I'll be in a class with my worst sister.

don’t rush, i think it’s fine to not skip because you only live once so you should make the most of your time here. plus if you don’t skip the classes will probably be rlly easy for you so it’ll be pretty chill

It's kind of a question between advancing a whole year into your life and having to deal with whatever happens as a result of that(older ppl, having to make new friends etc), or thoroughly working through every level and staying with your current friends. In the end, our opinion may not be the best, but take some time to think it through, talk to your parents, and figure out what's best for your long term goals. (Example if you want to go to college early, you could skip. But if you want to make friendships that may last forever or are in no rush to finish school, then you might stay. These are just examples...)
