Here is one for kids:
Q: A one-story house has 2 doors, 2 windows, 2 people living there and 2 cars. How many floors does the house have?
A: (hidden in white text) 1 floor; it is a "one-story house."
I heard this riddles years ago but modified it myself (sort of bonus). My slight modification was mostly psychological because of what draws the eye. (spoiler in white next coming up)... then number one doesn't draw the eye in my version because it is written out, unlike the other numbers.

Yup the gray background makes it visible, but you can also highlight the hidden white text to reveal what it says without quoting 
So was Joel considered right or was that too technical??

Close enough I suppose xD because they caught the idea. A one-story house does have one floor though (the ground floor), but they got the "trick" of the riddle at least xD
