Interesting. Everyone remembers the Andrews sisters of course; it is easy to forget that they were merely the most successful of a whole genre of singing sister acts.

Interesting. I wasn't born until the 1970s but I know Alvin Rey was one of the key persons involved in developing the electric guitar pick up. I'd never heard of the King Sisters.

I like Big Band and Swing music. Last night I stumbled over a group I wasn't familiar with called The King Sisters:
I got to thinking of other close harmony sister acts (with 3 or more sisters) associated with this style of music. Of course, the first one to come to mind was my favorite -and probably most people's favorite - the Andrew Sisters, that perfect blend of talent as sass.
The Andrew Sisters didn't spring from a void, but rather were influenced by these pioneers, the Boswell Sisters:
