Social Media is the Devil

Social media is a way to backhandedly compete with everybody on who has the best life. Bunch of liars too. Someone posts their vacation and everyone feels like sh** bc they’re at work. When I’m reality the kids are driving them nuts and the wife has had a few drinks and is flirting with a couple dudes and it’s not going so hot, a divorce is right around the corner oh boy the poor kids. That cheating b word! So they post how much fun they’re having on vacation and everyone’s miserable and feels like absolute sh** at the end of the day. Twitter takes it to the next level where famous people can show you how great their life is. Instagram shows you how great life is when you’re good looking. Dating apps show you that you’re a total piece of sh** human if you’re not in the top 20% of good looking people. Im just saying nobody is having as much fun as they look like they’re having on Facebook and social media is pure evil and invented by Satan.

I would agree that social media is bad for you.

I hate social media. It is the devil. I have this account on chess.com and I watch YouTube videos often... But think that is my ONLY social media

I do agree.

Nothing good comes from it with the exception of a small business advertising or political ads or missing person alerts/law enforcement agency alerts.

Families on TikTok? Ever see those videos where every child is dancing, even the fifty year old dad? 
Cringe Central. Back twenty years ago, this didn’t happen. You’ve got TikTok stealing your information (not a conspiracy, a proven fact by many experts), Snapchat getting your facial recognition , Facebook learning every huh ing about your lives. X (Twitter) is decent, but I’ll still never get it. Its management is better but is still social media. LinkedIn? Nope.

In the United States, they (the social media executives) violated their First Amendment. Freedom of Speech. They used censorship and shut down or banned accounts that spoke out against Biden, Covid or BLM. 
That may not be morally right or they may be wrong in speaking out about certain things yet that is still violation of the Amendment. Censoring people who do not agree with you is the direct opposite of a Democracy. Ben Franklin and Thomas Jefferson and George Washington would be appalled.

A tip from a person who has never had social media: Never get social media unless there is a bible reason to, like you own a small business or you follow a government agency. Life is better without it. People survived for millennia without Social Media- and they lived quite good lives, with family friends and faith instead of some influencer as the impact in their life.

Influencers get so much attention. The Poe who should get that attention are the police officers, soldiers, doctors, nurses, and everyday people doing great things.

Keep that in your mind today.

@132j this country is actually so corrupt that they ruled free speech in favor of the companies. Twitter was censoring Covid drug science before musk took over. Then a million people died. Scary stuff. The great thing about the constitution is you can interpret it however tf you want a lot like some other books
