Yes, relationships are what are important, not houses, not cars, not boats. When we face the abyss on that day, then we will know.

A hard working man, who after years of working in a foundry and loved all who passed him, owned little and was respected.
Meets a doctor.
Whom, is a top in the profession in his field of work, and was tough with all who passes him, and was looked up at from the medical field.
"Sheri, Sheri!" The man kept on calling for his wife, as he laid on top of the white sheets that draped over the hospital bed. His calling for his wife was repeated again, for 11th time in a row, and the 12th just began to bounce of the green painted walls of the small cubical that was meant for surgeries. It also just reached the ears of the now overly annoyed doctor. Who began to ask the nurse to give the pain killer shot, which would knock out the man before he could call for his wife a 15th time. Then the doctor asked the mans wife, whom was standing next to the hospital bed, to leave the room, he was ready to preform surgery. A task he didn't not want to do, but one he would do diligently, after all he had a reputation to up hold. Yet through out the operation, he kept on wondering why the family would pay for such an expensive surgery for a person with Alzheimer. A person who couldn't even acknowledge his own wife standing next to his side. In his own opinion,he just would have put the older man to death.
That night, he (doctor) had quit the argument with his wife on that topic. Her saying that "It's the family's way of remembering the memories they have had with him, by looking at his face. They can also still see him smile and hear his voice." His reply, "At the cost to pay for the surgery, it's not worth those memories, after all he probably will only live another month."
And, a month later there was a funeral held for the man, a funeral that the doctor attended just to see the dead man and the crying. Little knowing that would be his fate 5 years later, just with no wife standing at his bed side.
