You can’t travel at light speed or even near it without becoming a planet as far as your mass is concerned. The density needed at that speed is dense enough to create a massive black hole. Because of your mass, your gravity would draw objects to orbit you and whenever you become a black hole, all of that mass plus the items orbiting you become a part of your mass as a black hole.

Warping in that fashion would be extremely unstable and mess with time, create clones, collapse wormholes AND causing, yes, A RIP IN SPACETIME. The warp bubble creates massive entropy. Not saying this isn’t awesome, it will just be many, many years before it is understood. Heck, we just found out a few years ago that black holes radiate! It works on the same basic principal as portal no matter how you slice it, which is impossible btw.
Nobody knows and people can only speculate what is outside of the universe. All that we truly understand is that spacetime is a fluid that behaves like both water and rubber mesh(explains gravity) we know it is flowing as well. We don’t know what’s “out there” but it’s fun to think about. If it rips, then we could experience something similar to a black hole over 10 trillion times more powerful than what we have detected. That’s only a theory, but It makes sense. If spacetime is mesh rubber water, type fluid. It behaves like slime where a portion goes the rest follows. Almost like laxative.

Phasers are "particle weapons" meaning they shoot a stream of particles I think?
So technically the Ion drive is a "phaser". Because it shoots a stream of Ions.
Otherwise you can use a high powered carbon Laser for weaponry but it is not as effective as a bullet. You see if it hits a window it will do nothing same with a wall, or armor. Basically to get around being shot you could wear a glass breastplate and helmet and then you're good. Though they will heat up and break pretty fast, you'd know it I think.
Just saying, black hole weaponry would be AWESOME!!,

There's a fascinating book on this topic: The Physics of Star Trek. The author, Lawrence M. Krauss is a physicist with a Ph.D. from MIT.
