I suggest we form a Mutants Club.
What is title of club!
The "glitch" was about the software's term recognition, seemed to develop a mind of it's own and instantly muted, with no prior warnings. Most common were examples along the line of scientific/medical explanation, technical terms and such. But Bong had a history. Most likely this hitch had nothing to do with his muting, as effected members were reinstated privileges a few hours afterwards. So the "sudden, unexpected mute" as claimed by the OP was in fact long overdue.
The recent glitch was giving warnings, but it was warnings for things that should have given warnings.
I can see where my post could be misleading. Perhaps a better description of "warning" should have been used. I was muted and received the email and message warning notification of a 24 hour mute. So warnings in that sense were made. I had no previous warning to be on better behavior, or that language was inappropriate, as sometimes Mod's issue. My case, I knew something was up as I wrote a few scientific terms in Elrochs thread that the bot flagged that were unrelated to foul language or abuse. The instant it was posted, a banner appeared regarding violating community standards and a mute was in effect. I contacted staff, a few hours later reinstated. I see Bong711 is back. It appears his mute was for intentionally cursing of sort, and perhaps likely he's had warnings before. Then again ... maybe a new policy is in effect? Use foul language and a bot will instantly mute and the definition of "warning" is the notice sent out? This software issue has had a few glitches of sort. Members are left to speculation, and unfortunately misinformation gets put out there when members are reporting hearsay. Thanks for the clarification.
If you get too many auto warnings the system will automatically mute, similar to how it is done in Live chat. The thing that hit a lot of people the other day is that they would try it multiple times, which is understandable due to the nature of the bug and flagging things that shouldn't be.
I'm not sure if the process is looking at how far apart those warnings are or not.
You can lie people and pretend to be innocent!
You cant lie the bot!
If you swear, admit that you swear. You deserve the punishment.
Problem solved!!

Yup, same thing here.
I participate in a scientific thread. It's happened previously to posters who quote journals there, members become muted for use of medical/anatomical,theoretical terms; etc. that a bot thinks is associated with swearing. The glitch showed up once again, a lot of people were effected who were nowhere's close to swearing.
@drmrboss is seemingly calling us a liar, those so affected by the glitch with his reaction.

Displaying a complete lack of understanding an issue that occurred for many members. The thread about his buddy is a different issue, as Bong711 admits to the swearing and the intentional use of terms that are abusive.

What do I need to understand?
Many members suffer punishment cos they use bad languages. Bad language filtering is very simple programming and the script will search certain langauge to filter. There could be false alarm but I bet it could be minority like 10% or less.
Although they might think they are innocent themselves, the majority of people who got the punishment must be hostile and abusive people.
Bad language filtering is extremely useful and it becomes popular features in many messaging applications.

Yeah, [word I got muted for] people

Only the log file in your account can proove your claim. As I dont see log file, I cant say anything about your case.
If the false alarm happens, you could be 10% of less of unlucky minority.

The filter was broken the other day and a lot of people were muted for posting things that were not objectionable at all.
Until your time comes my friend!
