I get it, I am tall and that might of been why I was put on first. It's also why catching was tough on my knees I think. How old were you when you stopped playing?

My favorite game was one when I was on my brother's team and I was the catcher. We lost, but I played the whole game at catcher and made 0 errors, which is always nice, and I got to throw out a runner at third base, go 3 for 3, and had a great time.

I've played for 8 years, and I stopped playing about two years ago.

So, when I was 13 was my last year, the year I didn't play I would have been 14.

If I remember correctly.

That sounds fun, I never got to play with my bro, other than at the park for fun. Is it your older or younger brother? I never joined a club on this site, don't know much about them, I don't have time to commit to anything. Single, working dad and all. This was fun, finally something worth talking about in the forums.

So, in the last year I played, I would have bee 13 and 14. Birthday falls in the middle of baseball season.

It was my older brother. He's my best friend, we talk about baseball together, and he taught me chess a little while back.

I miss all-star's the most. It was at a higher level, better players, more baseball, and we worked way harder.

One of my favorite things about baseball was the bond I formed with my teammates by the end of the year.

Avatar of ActivatePlan357

Oh you would be high school level then. I took a break from baseball in high school because I wanted to do track and field. Then played baseball in an adult league afterwards

No problem, and, I agree!

Yeah, I could do more casual baseball, when I grow up, I might be able to do something like that.

I understand, some of the most fun I had was in the dugout eating sunflower seeds and pizza after the games with my teammates

Avatar of GreenMoon07

I remember one all stars game the games were rained out and there was several inches of rain. The dugout flooded, and we all stood on the benches, or whatever we could find and my coach bought us all hot dogs.

You and your teammates ever have the silly superstitions, like can't step on the chalk before the game starts or the rally chants

Avatar of GreenMoon07

Rally hats were a thing. We had special handshakes as well.

I miss those days. My boys never wanted to play and I didn't want to force it. My oldest is almost 14 and he likes basketball best. I worry though because he is having knee problems just like I did. My youngest, 9 years old, is not interested in any sports. My oldest does like going with me to watch, we watch minor league games

What's your favorite major league team?
