I like to play characters who I relate to. As a result I refuse to play as antagonists, as I relate more to the struggle that good protagonists go through. I've played Ace Attorney for so long that there is no one I relate to more then Phoenix Wright, so that's why I want him in so badly. Characters in the roster I relate to now are mainly Sonic and Ryu, and Simon's just too fun to play as for me

Very true. Actually I played a Smash Bros tournament at a cosplay convention and in the "free matches" before hand, I had fun playing against an IKE cosplayer who mained IKE 
I think my cosplay was Kaiba that year lol (Either that or it was Persona 5 Joker; I cosplayed as him the following year)

Being a true gamer is about having fun. You have to take it seriously but enjoy it at the same time, and let any opponents have fun as well. At least that's my theory

Even if I was painfully losing against Ike, I would still be having fun. Gaming is about fun, and in my opinion the greatest form of art. It's the reason why I want to become a game designer in Japan
Did you play as Joker when you cosplayed as him?
Sadly no because that was the year right before Joker came out as DLC. That year, I was cosplayed as Phoenix Wright and my younger brother was Apollo Justice We also met a Godot cosplay, Maya cosplay and a few others (but no Edgeworth 
).
Aww. The best looking cosplay costume in existence (in my opinion) wasn't included? Godot and Maya are legendary though. I'd probably cosplay as Phoenix because he's easy to pull off. The wig's going to be hard but the rest is easy
Still if you cosplayed as Phoenix again if/when he comes out, that would be legendary

I went all out with a real Blue Suit though (bright Blue like Phoenix is really hard color to find) and I used a good amount of hair gel instead of a wig. It was pretty fun. Also met Wendee Lee (voice actress for Athena Cykes) at an Ace Attorney panel

So jealous you met someone involved in Ace Attorney. The only famous people I ever saw were in concert or a live show. Specifically, Adam Lambert, Brian May, Roger Taylor, and DanTDM. And that's seeing them, not meeting them
