Seriously, mods? You're changing comment numbers on me again? Most of the older threads have more comments in the official counter than are present in the thread, because comments that were deleted because the people who left them were banned are counted - and they should be. Why do you have to keep unnecessarily adjusting the counter on my threads?

well, for one thing, you can just make them all play against others of similar rating

It has been absolutely remiss of my to wait so long before responding - it's just that I am, after all, an ordinary person who happens to be running for chess.com staff, and like any ordinary person, I have times when I am too busy to do everything that I should. But no worries - I'm back now, and just as determined as ever to lead or movement to victory! With two more members among our ranks, we are stronger than ever, and it will surely be a matter of time before we take over and #MaceChesscomGreatAgain!
