I thought they had standards?!

Yes, and those standards are part of the problem. Because of their current standards, titled players are allowed to oppress regular members and keep their ratings low, players who prefer to use engines in their games are made to suffer through unjust punishment, and countless other grave violations of the rights of chess.com members are committed on a daily basis. As a staff member, I will change those standards, and make chess.com a better place for all rather than jut the privileged few!

And to the chess.com communty: Thank you, the wonderful people of this great website, for your support! It is heartening for me to see that more and more people are Feeling the Mace! I am now more convinced than ever that our movement will succeed, and together, we will Mace Chess.com Great Again!

What are y'all talking about?

2. I will welcome everyone to chess.com - so long as they are not GMs, or other titled players who refuse to abide by the contract - regardless of nationality or political leanings. My end goal is to make chess.com a website of the patzers, by the patzers and for the patzers, and for that purpose I would like to see patzers from all over the world join this site and make it their home.

I, as The King of Patzers, totally support this!!

Great idea!!

Throw the bum out by the seat of his pants. A swift kick in the arse as a reminder about wasting our time with the drivel of a po'd member.

chess.com is not meant to have only people who don't chess seriously. It needs to have masters and titled players to help and teach us.

This is exactly why this thread is moved to off-topic, because it's rubbish. You're not going to become a mod unless you change your plans.

It's quite obvious this person has eaten some form of hallucinagenic shrubbery or has inbibed some toxic fluids known to man. Disregard this nonsense andd carry on Macer. The Chess.com underworld is with you!!

Hello everyone! Thank you for all of your policy suggestions! I'm glad to see that so many members of the community are genuinely concerned about the future of this site, and are interested in engaging in intellectual debate about how we can make this site better. Thanks to all of you, I am now all the more confident that our movement will be a success.

Now, to address some of your specific questions:

1. The so-called "spammers" are perhaps the most marginzalied group on this site. They are banned en masse and on a regular basis for the crime of posting on the forums. At the same time, to add insult to injury, people who make esoteric chess-related threads that none but a priveleged few can understand are not only not punished, but seem to be held in high esteem by some sectors of the community. As a staff member, I will reverse this perverse trend by recognizing the contributions of "spammers" to the forums. They will no longer be banned; in addition, their threads will also become more visible, as I will eliminate the current system where a thread needs to have at least 2 posts to show up under the "Most Recent" section.

BUILD THAT FIREWALL!!!

When grandmasters send us its people, they're not sending us their best...they're bringing spam, they're bringing time-outs, they're checkmaters, and some are good people.

Then my only guess is that my "nonsense" is only nonsense to people who talk nonsense and are nonsense.

Also I was giving neutral opinions before, saying that he should instead make a new chess site.

Thank you, all of my new supporters (and thanks again to my old ones)! You contributions to making chess.com better for everyone are much appreciated!

Today, I am pround to officially unveil the promotional posters for my campaign! The first one was first introduced (in a larger size) in my original post and you may have seen the other two elsewhere as well, but this right now is their official unveiling!

Every campaign needs good messaging in order to succeed, and these posters are fit for the task. If any of my supports has other suggestions in terms of posters, messaging strategy or anything else related to the campaign, please feel free to contribute your thoughts! Our movement is a movement of the people, and within the movement the voices of the people will always be heard!

Great marketing campaign!!

I think you should apply for Trump's presidential campaign marketing chief, they need a better one.

Interesting historical tidbit: when George W Bush hosted a state dinner for Queen Elizabeth II, his request to the orchestra for the first dance was "The Lady is a Tramp." Classic Frank Sinatra, but still.

SocialPanda, I noticed that your current blitz rating is 1801. When I become a staff member, I will increase the ratings of everyone on chess.com. Once I apply my formula for increasing ratings (which I have provided under point 3 of my platform), your new blitz rating will be 2151. That's a full 350-point increase from your current rating, and it's also 334 points higher than the highest blitz rating you have ever achieved. The effect on your bullet rating will be even more pronounced - it will rise from the current 1503 to 2002, a nearly 500-point increase!

So, if you want higher ratings - and this goes for everyone else as well - please support me, and you will not be disappointed.

yeah, this is what cc needs. artificially inflated ratings.

talk about a virtual world...

*but wait, panda, there's more!*

if you are dissatisfied with your current rating you are allowed to cheat against other members a number of times to boost it even more!

As this thread has induced involuntary chortles in me, I am compelled to support the OP in his bid for staff status.
