Support my campaign for chess.com staff member!

Then again op could move the new site to more sympathetic regions. Teknoman will be so happy to see this.

Interesting historical tidbit: when George W Bush hosted a state dinner for Queen Elizabeth II, his request to the orchestra for the first dance was "The Lady is a Tramp." Classic Frank Sinatra, but still.
How interesting! That's actually got me thinking... this campaign could use some promotional music, or a theme song! But I'm not sure exactly what song would be best as the theme. Any suggestions from my supporters?

Promotional music say you?

I must say, I saw great promise in this thread when it started, but was forced to limit myself to careful enthusiasm, reflecting upon the great responsibility and challenges that Macer's campaign would entail.
However, having followed now and seen again and again how his campaign has made refinements, tackled opposition, and its leader remaining strong and collected at all times, my trust and optimism has officially been won over. If successful this campaign will achieve very grand improvements to the current state of Chess.com, indeed, and Macer exhibits the mind and will necessary to fulfil these plans.
As Yui's official husbando and primary spokesperson on Chess.com I suggest an improvement to your point 1 in Yui's spirit. Even with these changes, the serious and overly theoretical people will have too much space to roam freely and shower the rest in their elitism. Therefore I suggest absolute freedom in posting so called off topic posts in these threads to lighten the tension and remind those people that there are greater joys in life than nerding down into perversely overly theoretical chess nonsense, akin to the talks that goes on among theoretical physicists. For example, one could post a Yui picture to remind them of the importance of love. And also how beautiful the world is to allow such an angel to co-exist with us. Truly amazing.
With this change, chess.com will be the best it could possibly be! Best of luck in your campaign, Macer!

oh please.
Macer anything in this world can be tolerable but cheating?
Please. Remove the paragraph about reducing pusishment.
Even I know this is a joke BUT cheating has to be taken seriously.

That is a great suggestion, Mr. Hirasawa! Chess.com should be a loving community for all, and no one represents that quality better than Yui. As such, in the interest of fostering love and understanding among the members of this website, the posting of Yui pictures on forum threads should not be limited by forum category or the original topic of the thread.
And, to take my appreciation of Yui a step further, I am considering organizing a Yui Appreciation Day event once I become a staff member. I have yet to determine what the exact activities on that day will be, but they may involve mass Yui-posting (with rewards for people who post the most pictures) and organized K-on watching sessions. It will be a day of great festivity and joy, and you wouldn't want to miss it!

The song in and of itself isn't a bad choice, but it's been so overused that at this point it's become the dictionary definition of cliche. That's not to say that I'm necessarily looking for something shocking (as in "What the heck was that??"); rather, I'd like something that's mildly and pleasantly surprising (as in "Oh, how interesting. Who would have thought that song would work so well as a theme song?").

Read to the lyrics, smoke a blunt and find analogies to your campaign.
