I was searching through the forums and came across this user swearing in the forums. I dont think this is allowed and this user should be banned...

Gert-Jan

I am sorry but I disagree with you.

1. I dont see a word in his topic that is very disturbing. I have seen in other topics

that people use the world Jesus Christ. Thats disturbes me.

2. It is not good that you use the forum for an complaint about another member. You should send a message to a staffmember. (e.g. Erik)

1) In certain forum topics swearing isnt a problem but in others it is.

2) It is alright as long as you are not offending or disturbing anyone by directing it.

it seems as if you are trying to find something that offends you; i was once given some advice that i have found very good through the years and the advice was > don't sweat the small stuff
read this next story and check for parallel's

an old lady phoned the police with the complaint that her neighbour was walking around in his kitchen in the nude and this offended her
they went out to the lady's house to see if there was reason to action anything
they looked across to the house and could see the man but pointed out to her that they could not see anything that they found offensive
well stand on the cupboard, stand on the cupboard

so, don't sweat the small stuff and stop standing on the cupboard

lukeyboy_xx

ok but i just mean not just this once it happens quite a lot in the forums

the message i want to convey is that it is best to ignore it and demonstrate that you don't need to swear in order to make your point
swearing is the crutch of the conversational cripple
ie often when people are unable to effectively make a point, they resort to swearing instead - make your own decisions and live by them, and just ignore all the @rseholes that swear ( oops that must have just slipped out - oh well if you can't beat them, join them )
