What is this? Some kind of spyware that pretends to earn money for charities? Sounds very suspicious...

Well, at least it's open source. However, it looks to me that you're installing a browser extension to allow selected advertisers to serve you ads and allow yourself to be "anonymously" tracked by the ad companies, in exchange for earning a small amount of money to give to your selected charity. I could imagine the potential for a lot of things to go wrong with this approach, especially malvertising. If you want to do something like this, my guess is that the Brave browser would be a safer approach. (However, I still don't like the idea that the Brave browser strips out a site's ads and replaces them with its own ads.)
