Grass court season starts next week, always my favourite surface

True, Serena is a pretty amazing tennis player! The only tennis player I've ever seen who was at her level was Justine Henin.

Yes she was a brilliant all round player.

it's great he's back to full fitness again, less chance of Murray winning Wimbledon  Laughing

Nadal is great on clay. Kinda funny how that dominance doesn't translate to hardcourt or grass.

he never looks totally sure about his footwork on grass to me, but i've not seen enough of him playing on other surfaces to know if that's just how he is.

Nadal is pretty great on grass. I think only Federer and Djokovic have been able to win him in the last six years at Wimbledon.Wink

yes i just checked the stats, Nadal leads Murray 9-1 in sets at Wimbledon. this is a link to the BBC coverage available :

Ouch! He's only won one setLaughing

Nadal has issues with his knee playing in hard surfaces, however he has won all the Grand Slams and Olympic Gold in Beijing, so hard to say he hasn't been dominant in other surfaces, not like Pete Sampras when he played in clay. When it comes to clay, Nadal has more trophies that anyone, included having won a Grand Slam eight times

i fear Nadals career may be virtually over after what happened today? Knees are serious when they go wrong i know he was off 8 months but longer would have been better.

Avatar of pdela

nah, virtually over no, after Roland Garros due to the effort doctors recommend him to rest...So yesterday was his first match in grass this season, I'm not very surprised of this happening... It's a bit the same story that last year, I do think both Grand Slams are too close in time... I mean Murray didn't take part in Roland Garros and was trainning in the All England Club all this time...For me the three Murray, Djockovic and Federer had chances... But I think Murray is a bit weaker in matches with 5 sets, but if he plays like in the US Open...

Murray is losing, there is still room to recover but 2-0 :S

i am not going to write anything about this match, because i may utter an audible obscenity Laughing or a legible one, whatever?

loved the bit in the second set when he threw his racket that hard onto the turf it bounced 10 feet high. it would have been better if it had bounced up and blacked his eye. he's a classy guy, not.

I kind of think Marion Bartoli will win, but it's going to be a great final whoever wins:)

i like both the players so just hope it's an exciting 3 setter, i'm getting my strawberries in the morning on the way home, the white wine's already chilling.

I don't think I can take it if Murray wins today. I'm totally pulling for DjokovicWink
