So the crimson is the red stuff
And the corruption is the purple stuff
I prefer crimson, because it gives you a decent weapon later in the game compared to the corruption one

A warning tho
It’s on Master mode difficulty, and the world is in what’s called hard mode, so it will be difficult starting out, but once u get going it’ll be fine

Melee
Summoner
Mage
Ranger
Each with their own advantages and disadvantages
Melee-High defense and attack speed, average DPS. A very good choice for new players
Summoner(may favorite)-Decent range, high DPS, low defense, summons entities to fight for you
Mage-average DPS and Defense, uses mana to use weapons
Ranger-average defense and DPS, uses ammo for weapons(very easy to get ammo)
