Some of these are things you’ve probably heard before, but maybe they’ll help:
•get a good nights sleep and eat a good breakfast I recommend fruit. Fruit is full of complex sugars, which, like simple sugars found in sweets, give you energy. The energy from complex sugars in fruit will last longer, though, and it is better for you, anyway. Stay away from caffeine, unless you really didn’t sleep well.
•take your time. Skim over the questions to see if there are any questions that ask you to write an essay. Take note of these and pace yourself accordingly. When doing a traditional 5 paragraph essay, it may be better to skip the introduction and conclusion, leaving only the thesis and a restatement at the end. I only recommend this when you are pressed for time.
•read the questions carefully, twice would be good. Many a test has been flunked because of takers not seeing the word “not”
•if you don’t know the answer, wait until the end, then try below
•if you have time left and have questions you left blank, breathe slowly in through your nose and out through your mouth. Do this to calm yourself and concentrate. Close your eyes or take long blinks. Repeat what the question is asking in your head. If you still don’t know it after about a minute or so, guess.
•guessing tip: an old school adage is “when in doubt, pick C”. This is based off of the assumption that test makers won’t want to put the answer as the first result. It isn’t always true, but it’s better than nothing.

If I might ask: what kind of test is this? Is this like a regular classroom test or finals or something?
