Why? Because, well... With all of its flaws, chess.com is a really special place to me. Not because of chess, or chess clubs, or even the forums themselves, but because of you guys. The amazing friends I've made along the way on my journey here. People like Basix, Lilyana, hope, corn, hunky, and so many more. People who have made my life so amazing the past few months.
I don't want to leave, trust me.
But let me get to why I was banned. I received an email this morning from support. And they said that I was banned for 3 reasons, which I'll address each of.
1) Verbal Abuse. I was given my final warning for verbal abuse about a month ago, for making a "derogatory" thread about Chess.com's methods. Maybe it criticized the system a little, but it was nothing against the terms of service and I was just asking for my friend to be unmuted. I've apparently been reported for verbal abuse again, and I think this may have to do with the fact that I posted breeze's twitter account. Breeze, I'm sorry about doing that, and I hope you can remember me without hating me or anything.
2) Clubs. Apparently, you're not allowed to hold any rank in any club unless you're 15+. At 13, this was a "punishable offense" for me.
3) Unverified Alts. Let me get this straight. This is something that I definitely didn't do. Although I've had... uh, I think around 20 accounts... I have never, and I repeat, never opened more than one account at the same time. I'm not sure why support thinks I've done this, but sorry if I've done anything wrong.
Anyways, due to this, support has decided to be jealous of my swexyness and not give my otf privileges back. I'm not going to make troll accounts that get banned and muted within an hour. That's not me. I want to be good. I'm not going to become a troll. However, I would like to thank a notable SiNlEsS sOuL for livening up otf during my time here. 🤣
I'm sad to leave all of you. I love you guys so much, truly. Even you, dovey, after all we've been through together. It gets even worse when you consider that I made a similar letter but did not get muted or banned for it. My thread was locked, but support was very kind and understanding towards it and seemed to actually listen, because basix soon got a response from support after and breeze finally got punished for messing with members on her alt and then lying about it.
You did the same thing, and got a community strike for it. That's the definition of unfair.

I do also believe that ranks in clubs is kinda dumb, ngl... especially smaller clubs.
