That's right, that point makes sense. Ok, i will discard the bot theory.

Well, i didn't lose anything (except time) for trying to see if that post was the reason.

Probably because that thought was born in my mind as half a joke and at the same time the other half as a real truth wink.png

Hey Rook, I really love your theory. I'm willing to bet all my Passed Pawns that chess.com said something like

Mod 1: "Hey. This lady was muted for a WHOLE YEAR because of naughty language that is not commonly used, but, could mean anything as far as we are concerned."

Mod 2: "Did she get back with us?"

Mod 1: "Yes, she told me she's willing to follow the TOS and stop trolling."

Mod 2: "Did you tel her the exact reason why she was muted?"

Mod 1: "No, we can't do that, she might use it against the Bots. Let's just unmute her and be happy with her hugs and thank her for her hugs."

Mod 2 "Ok."

Also Rook, there is one thing I think that you are not aware of, is that there was a thread titled "I mated with the Horsie again" or something like that. The OP blocked me from posting there. So I was poking fun at the idea that mate CAN be delivered with a Knight, contrary to what some members believe, and so therefor, saying "Mate with Horsie" is a bad word.

That's where the origin of "Mate With Horsie" comes in - and also, some players seem to get very agitated whenever another player calls the Knight "Horsie," therefor making it a bad word.

See how that works, hun?

That's right, thank you for thinking about my bots theory. I think that's very likely what happened! grin.png grin.png grin.png

By the way, i know a lot of people in real life that call it "horsie", why not? i like that name.

The chess piece is the head of a horse. So, if you see the head of a horse, you think about a horse or horsie, you don't think about a knight. If they want to call it a knight, it should be the head of a knight.

If someone thinks horsie is a bad word, that person should be expelled from chess.com.

Har har har....sweetheart. Now you are starting to understand the humor behind my posts....

But!! We live in 2020 now and have to be politically correct because of the children on the site that haven't understood the humor behind such things yet.

I do like "funny cute little nicknames" for the chessmen. A friend that I haven't seen in years, his rating at the time was probably 2200. I played him all the time (and lost all the time) and I remember I had some strong Horsies on the board, and he would push a Pawn and say "Good-Bye."

I remember making a comment on how the Knight was dislodged from that square, his comeback for that was

"Rodger on the Dislodger."

I'll never forget that!!!

I think I invented a new bad word. If your opponent places a Horsie on an Outpost, and you push Pawn to attack the Horsie, and Opponent moves the Horsie somewhere else, you can call out "Rodger on the Dislodger!" and he will know that you dislodged his Knight then he starting to shouting and pouting at you long time already!!!

There!!1 NEW BAD WORD for bots!!! happy.png

Yeah, that's right, funny names make chess easier. For example there is an endgame concept called "The fox in the chicken's coop", when the opponent king goes away to take a bait and your king goes to the opposite side of the board to take all his pawns. So that king feels like a fox in a chickens coop eating all it wants.

And it's written that way in the "Silman's endgame course" (i think that's the book in which it's written).

I think funny names must be regarded as an essential tool.

Another thing that adds to the BAD WORD is the fact that chess has so much masculinity. Many times, the male ego cannot stand that he lost and is about to get mated, or like you said King goes in and can Haz Ponds!!! (a cute nickname for the Pawn, which to me is also a bad word because of shouting by opponent who no like BAD WORD) Sometimes, the man's ego cannot accept at times that a woman has outsmarted him in the game of chess.

This will cause much full moon and tampo, and going to Human Resources.

That very same player who was a 2200 that told me "Rodger on the Dis-lodger" also told me that it's respectful to allow your opponent to play out the combination he found, as opposed to immediately resigning. This is for the sake of the man's ego, I recon.

Yes, in chess usually there's a lot of ego and maculinity.

But it's nice to see that women are being involved into the chess world now more than ever.

About the ego part, some players feel hurt when losing, and that's very bad, because they don't want to learn, they just want to shout the BAD WORDS everywhere. However, some of the players are able to set their ego aside. I think that's the best way to learn and progress. And also the best way to feel happy with the game. We always must feel happy with whatever we do, that's the way.

My Little Rook. Take a look at this. I hope you brought your Knight Vision Goggles.

Black to play. White wants to know where the Black Horsie is going.

Well sweetie pie. I'll tell ya where he's going.

I spent 46 seconds on this, with my Knight Vision, and I can see that I CAN HAZ HORSIE!!! So, answering correctly, I play QxN.

OK So QxQ, awaiting on my response.

THE HORSIE IS GOING TO FORK YOU ON g3!!! That's where the Knight is going hun!!! happy.png

Oh and by the way, if anyone in the forum wants to go to full moon to me over this, know that Capablanca used to do that same thing, he gives opponent Queen, but comes back for her later after a few moves.....

Avatar of p8q

oh, my horsie vision goggles fell and broke before i even paid for them. But, ok, i'm going to give it a try happy.png Let's seee.....

Avatar of p8q

That's right! there's a nasty fork there!

46 seconds is a short time to see tactics.

In chessTempo i solve tactics without time, the "standard" option. By the way, i discovered ChessTempo thanks to you, usually i was doing tactics in lichess, but Chesstempo is much better because they show you much more stats than lichess

Well hunnie we are all chess players here so we're smart enough to know that my screenshots are indeed taken from "The Trainer." My Little Rook, I would take Hvenki's advise, it's best to mask competing chess website names while on chess.com. To refer to those as "The Trainer" is generic, because chess.com has a trainer too.

Because if you don't, I can tell you what the FULL MOON of chess.com feels like TALAGA!!

But thank you for the compliment. I guess I'm "not bad" for a beginner if I can see tactics within 46 seconds, I mean, one must look at the board before a move is made, yes off course!

Also Cryysis Dragon is very nice and sweet I can give you hugs if you feel no good after bad word.

Avatar of Anonymous_Dragon

December I should be the one getting hugs. He bullying a small kid like me for nothing.

Avatar of December_TwentyNine

That's one of my problems, I forget that their are children on this site, I treat everyone as if they are old enough to smoke and drink. I do know that @dragonite2 is a child because he mentioned it. As for everyone else? Adults.

But he does get offended over BAD WORD and hopefully Bots don't go to full moon over that bad word.

Avatar of Anonymous_Dragon

I am not in the category of those kids though. But I am not completely an adult too. Whatever be it. I should be getting hugs here. Not Crysis.

Avatar of December_TwentyNine

Well I can give you both hugs so Cryysis doesn't feel lonely and sad from bad word.
