Yes. I recommend having a 4x4 grid, with a1 as start and d4 as the end, with 14 squares to do whatever you want. Maybe smaller/bigger to your preference. That's why scavenger games are hard to do. Map/item building.
The Bad KOTL
I might go to 3x4 if I can't think of enough items/locations. For the location where all this is happening, I'm going to do a deserted island, lots of places for items and weird locations.
Could you put the rules for that other scavenger game on here? I might draw some inspiration from it.

MULTIPLAYER LOVE COOKIES
Goal of the Game: FIND a love cookie and give it to the principal of the school on h8.
You may hold up to 3 items.
I'm using INTERSECTIONS where a chessboard the map, the squares are houses and the lines between the squares are roads. You must choose one of our options unless it's open ended or you want to check something.
Cookies are at:
You have to find the houses that hold the love cookies based on a map you find in the beginning of the game.
There are forks in the road that represent difficulty (harder=more points) and the harder it is to get a love cookie, the more it's worth once the player wins.
There's 2 endings:
Death or
Victory.
I dunno if I should start on the map or the items first. Probably the items.
Everyone feel free to pitch ideas, I'll try to add stuff in that people suggest.

Well, items generally fall into a few distinct categories. There’s stuff that’s really meant for fighting, like swords, guns, and armor. Of course, stuff like guns and armor can cause problems in gameplay. It’s up to the mod to decide that.
There’s also utility items. Both the stuff in an MM grocery store and stuff in a MM warehouse would fit in there. I don’t really believe those have a place here.

Alright, so classic stuff like the items in your MM sound like a good idea.
Next, enemies. What kind of foes do you want us to fight? Zombies? Ordinary humans? Ice people? Indie game characters?
And then, of course, there’s the fiendish question of a storyline. Coherent and decent stories are pretty difficult to make, but if you pull it off, people will keep coming back.
Murder Mystery: Murder Edition
Basic Rules:
You're back in the same town as always, but something seems different. Are those... people? That's new. Anyways, you need to find which one of you is the murderer and you need to do it quickly, or I'll plot device you out of the game. The town is the same as always, one house for each of you, a shop, and the pavilion. Wait, no, that's wrong. There's another house that isn't for any of you, I wonder who lives there.
Roles
Murderer - Kill as many people as you can and try to be the last person standing. 20 points for each kill, 30 points if there are only murderers left at game end (only for alive murderers). Starts with a Liar's Mask, if the murderer says "I AM THE MURDERER" on the thread then they will receive a Backstabber and a big hat that has nothing inside of it. Nothing at all.
Innocent - Kill the murderers as quickly as you can. 10 points per day survived (subject to change), 30 points for killing a murderer split among everyone who helped, 30 points if the game ends and only innocents are left (only for alive innocents). If an innocent says "I AM THE MURDERER", they automatically die.
Locations
Everyone has a one-story house with nothing inside. There are entrances from the front and the back. Behind the houses there is a ring of bushes that encircles the town. Houses cannot be burnt down, ever.
The shop is where you can buy stuff, it cannot be destroyed.
I will drop pavilion drops at the pavilion when many people are online, this is an opportunity to grab a bunch of good loot.
The house that belongs to none of you also cannot be destroyed, more on that later.
Currency
Everyone starts with 200 currency and gains 100 every day. When somebody dies, the person who killed them automatically gets all of their currency. You can buy almost anything at the shop, just ask and I will give you the price.
FOR THIS GAME, ROLES WILL NOT BE REVEALED UPON DEATH

if you're going to have a storyline work the storyline around the games not the games around the storyline.
enemies will probably be varied and different for the Scavenger round, but for the Survival it's usually best to have characters be themed.
I just had an idea for a new type of item that I might use in this game, tell me what you think about it.
Basically it would be a potion that you could drink that gives you some sort of boost for a little bit, for example, you move faster or become stronger. Another one might be you grow a lot bigger for some amount of time.

Yeah, potions are cool. Items with limited uses and give you a natural buff to your speed/strength or even flexibility. Maybe even some bad potions or mystery potions that can randomly give you a good ability or a bad ability.
You could even do things like Double Jump potions.
I guess I'll try and make one then, but it may take a few days to come up with all the items and locations where they would be. I'd have to make a map, right?
