And Jim got the boot (guess maybe he should've spent "some time" together with Ed)...

And Jim was told "You'll never do the Ed Sullivan show again." Jim said with glee "We just did the Ed Sullivan show." I have to say the Doors showed guts and the Stones wimped out.

Thanks for all of the posts.

Tengu23, I'm also a fan of the Beatles and I'm certainly not as young as I used to be  lol.

Speaking of The Beatles reminded me of an item that I may have mentioned before. The Beatles also covered songs from other writers as well as doing their own ( terrific ) material. " Twist And Shout " for example was done earlier by the Isley Brothers but I guess that most of us think of it as a Beatles song.

On a different point I heard another nice lively song earlier today, also one of my old favourites: " The Bristol Stomp " by The Dovells ( luv those lively tunes  lol ).

Thanks for the posts. Yes the Manfred Mann group had some good stuff out. Also when we look at The Beatles ( or the Rolling Stones ), did they ever put out any bad songs  lol.

The Beatles to me, started putting out a lot songs that were boring as hell after they started getting too serious. The Rolling Stones however put out great tunes for a hell of a long time because they just played rock 'n' roll for fun.
