Bach is probably the best, though I wish the answer were Mozart.
Rachmaninov and Liszt are two of my all time favorites, and Chopin, Purcell, and Palestrina are up there somewhere as well (none of that is an answer to the actual question, but maybe it'll spark a conversation).

Im unsure if I can answer who is the best; It depends on mood. The people I listen to most is: Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, Haydn, Mozart, Tchaikovsky and Vivaldi (most cliche group; there’s a reason why) in alphabetical order. Bach is calming, Beethoven has versatility there’s a lot of power, Chopin is peaceful with the pianos, Haydn is pleasant, Mozart is brilliant, Tchaikovsky is from the romantic era; he has classics. Vivaldis four seasons is fire.
As funny as it is, the first 2 I listed are the ones I listen to the most at the moment. Bach and Beethoven.
