Who is the greatest quarterback of all-time? Mine is Joe Montana. Let the debate begin!
gr8choice! (@HurricaneTroll: notice this forum is in Off Topic)
Statistically it's Joe Montana. But my Indiana upbringing tells me Peyton Manning is the bees knees.
There are a lot of Great quarterbacks to consider. The best one now playing is Peyton Manning in my humble opinion, who is a certain Hall-of-Famer. There have been a lot of great ones. Joe Montana is certainly right at the top as is Steve Young, John Elway and Brett Favre. Earlier Players like Johnny Unitas, Roger Staubach, Bob Griese, Bart Starr, Kenny Stabler, Y.A. Title, Sonny Jurgenson, and Joe Namath deserve consideration also. In the past 20 years I would probably agree with Joe Montana. The trouble is it is hard to compare quarterbacks of different eras, because playing conditions were different.
Hands down the best
um....Fischer? Oh wait, did you say quarterback? then I would have to say Capablanca.
I meant NFL.
Morphy! Or, maybe, Trent Dilfer.
Not Dilfer? Eric Hipple? Ummm...who was that big, tall southpaw who threw sidearm? Oh, yeah, Scott Mitchell!
He was the greatest NFL player who ever lived. The greatest WR, not QB.
Good lord what the heck is this doing in a chess site for heavon's sake?
It's just a debate. That's all.
Nobody ever loves the linemen. Bruce Matthews!
Bruce Matthews was one of the greatest offensive linemen of all time. Anthony Munoz was the greatest offensive lineman to ever play in the NFL.
Scott Mitchell???????? Only had 1995 season.
Us kids always called him "Buckshot".
