The issue with homeschooling (my opinion)

Yea
Sensitivity is more common in public schools then homeschools
BasixWhiteBoy

Homeschool students score better on tests than public school students. That is true, and nobody should try and debate that.

However, there’s a lot of reasons for this. Many students in public schools simply don’t care enough to get good grades, and struggle with other problems, such as financial issues at home. Parents who are willing to homeschool their kids make a good wage, have time on their hands, and they motivate their kids to get good grades and continue studying.

#1 first reading it, I noticed there was a lot of generalization. After all, can it really be true that a lot or most homeschooled kids are self-important and sensitive?

Yes.

Yea
Half the kids at my school are decently smart, they just don’t care about their grade, cuz middle school don’t matter
BasixWhiteBoy
That goes for a large majority of students, including myself. I don’t really care about my grades.

Yea
Only reason I actually try is cuz I don’t wanna get grounded
Peskybird_flies
And half the time, I don’t even try

Homeschool students are under a lot of pressure from parents to do well, I would imagine. If my parents took the time to homeschool me, they would let me know about it so I could do better and study harder.

Nope. I was homeschooled, and trust me, my parents were chill. As long as I could read and add 2 + 2, they were happy. Easiest time of my life

Maybe 'pressure' was the wrong word. Or maybe not. I just feel like there's a higher expectation of you.

And yes it’s true that homeschoolers are more sensitive.

Prove it!

Well first of all it’s logic. Public school students are way more, how should I put this, aware of the world. Parents of homeschoolers probably have more control over their lives, and don’t allow them to use social media or even yt

And by the way, I did say this was my opinion
