Not as dramatic as being stabbed by a Nausican.

Based on what I've read, it is going to go back to the "roots" of what Star Trek is all about. If it references Jar Jar Abrams pathetic Trek re-boot, I'll just not watch it in fear that I may vaporize my TV with my classic TOS phaser.

LOL Don't shoot the TV :)

Back in the 90's, Shatner authored a series of SciFi books along the lines of "Tek Labs", etc. I haven't read them but could Hollywood make something Trekky out of them?Undecided

They did!  It was called "T. J. Hooker," with Adrian Zmed and Heather Locklear. ;^)

They did! I read several of those books, they were pretty good. I suspect it was a ghost writer. But they made a show too. Shatner was in it, but not the main character. It was a decent show, but to me it felt very 80's, even tho it was mid 90's. Worth checking out if you are a Shatner fan.
