That was the point of my question. Journeyman Plumber. He was loyal to one team for certain! I’m an old tradesman, the former days of Guilds, journeyman travels, etc., are sadly disappearing in today’s world.

not only todays , i can remember in 84 , leaving school , british aerospace were looking for 2 apprentices , preston guild hall was filled with hopefuls myself included , the two got picked out of thousands , the ones not picked became yts trainees , a waste of youth and the talent they could learn

anyway , thats going off topic , so time to get back on track

Journeyman myself. Reading about the Guilds, Halls, and travels throughout the countryside to truly become a “journey” man is a step back in time to another world. There was much societal honor and tradespeople were held in the highest esteem. I taught in apprenticeship schools and programs until i couldn’t stomach the new attitudes from the young apprentices any longer. No longer a skilled trade to them, simply a job.
I very much appreciate the story and walk back into history. Thank you!
