Ooh, that's a good list, electricpawn
The ten greatest of music

It would take me a while to come up with a list (I will probably just make a list of interesting bands and people), but how about a taste trysts (I think you would like this band)?
Squirrel Nut Zippers

I just listened to "Put a lid on it", by Squirrel Nut Zippers, and I really liked it! Excellent choice, Conquistador

DePeche Mode, from the 1980s until at least 2005.
Now on a "world tour" --

Another great thread, sharon!
EP, that's a helluva list! Except you missed one-Buddy Guy. And, I can't believe you didn't have Neil Young #1 and in caps!!
My faves (in no particular order):
Radiohead
Poi Dog Pondering-check 'em out. Pomegranate is a masterpiece.
The Verve
Tool-a friend once described them as "a heavier version of Pink Floyd"
Red Hot Chili Peppers
Beatles
Pink Floyd
Springsteen
Varelse, the members of Zeppelin were talented musicians, but, they plagarized many of their most popular songs. There is a lot of information about this. Here are just two links.

A good spinoff to this thread could be best albums. For example, Moby's Play is a favorite, but his body of work keeps me from putting him on my list.

3. Locomotion
4. Hey Mickey
5. Gangnam Style
6. Shalalalala
7. les ketchup
8. Jail House Rock

10. Kawawang Cowboy by: Fred Panopio or Obamas "Dont Call me baby"

1. The Clash

It is funny, Kid Rock lives in my hometown. His son went to my high school. I remember his son being there for a year before I graduated. He was really quiet and a bit of a troublemaker, but since I was older than him, I honestly did not give him very much attention, and I rarely passed by him.
That is very interesting.
I grew up just a bit west of there. Union Lake area. Never remember seeing Kid Rock though.
Folks would see Bob Seger occasionally, however.

Trysts, why did you leave my thread. Do you know you are blacklisted ?
Tim\Jeff Buckley
Bob Dylan
Lou Reed
Johnny Cash
Leonard Cohen
Cindy Lauper
Alanis Morrissette
Alicia Keys
Bryan Adams
Justin Bieber

Dvořák
Schumann
Ravel
Mendelssohn
Sibelius
Grieg
Beethoven
Debussy
Tchaikovsky
Gershwin
Good choices, but no Mozart?
I do enjoy listening and playing Satie pieces. Pieczonka is also good.

You did that on purpose.

I know that area...I think that is where my family took our dog to be boarded on vacations (or the vet...don't really remember). Yeah while I might have "technically" lived in Clarkston, I am more by the Davisburg/White Lake area. Or in general the boonies
Some of my favorite Blues artists:
Muddy Waters
John Lee Hooker
Howlin Wolf
Buddy Guy
B B King
Jimi Hendrix
Robert Johnson
Lead Belly
Etta James
