E4 is hard for me becuse I hate the hanging pawn If I defend with pawn blocked bishop and I hate moving a bishop out thn locking it out so if I play e4 I have to fianchetto which is fine but annoying.

I play either d4 or queens gambit against d4 sicilian narjdof against e4 never played against the caro khan, as for white ruy lopez catalan or chigorin.

I like catalan because it combines safety with controlled agression, I never tried French for tthe reason of it's not being agressive enough and it hurts you later on.
I do only beginner stuff lol
