The Unequal Distribution of Wealth & Power
I work (kinda indirectly) in the investment business.
I wanna know why in the Spring of 2000, interest rates on a 30-yr mortgage was 9.5% and now it's only about 3.75% (give or take).
So, interest rates have gone down alot but the NASDAQ 5000 is less now than then (March 2000 was 5075....today it closed at 4890). Why ?
Wouldn't you think that if interest rates went down, then the stock market would go up ?....let alone 16 years later ?
Something is dreadfully wrong.
And BTW, the Nasdaq Composite is always replacing bad stocks w/ good stocks....when the bad ones go bad. That means it's constantly being propped up w/ better stocks. This skews the number w/ a huge upward bias.
I mean I've learned that the stock market is a major indicator of what's going on now and what's gonna happen in the future.
But what's happened since 2000 shows to me that things aren't even yet above water.
Why not ?
How about all these crazy companies selling at 20x earnings.Who would buy a gas station,if they told you that it would take only 20 years of hard work before you broke even, but we're investing our retirement money in that and worse.
As for work:you can safely fire anyone with "manager" or "director" in their job title and not worry about hurting the company in any way. Just don't piss off the janitorial staff or your doomed.

To be sure, Schiff's bubble argument has some hiccups. For one, he predicts that rather than raising interest rates -- as the market widely expects will happen this year -- the Federal Reserve will actually go for more quantitative easing. But he also expects that rising interest rates will decimate tech companies' free cash flow as they try to service the "enormous" debt they've taken on.'
The state is the ultimate inequality of power.

There are numerous links on the net for Agenda 21 - sometimes renamed Agenda 2030.
Agenda 21 is a non-binding, voluntarily implemented action plan of the United Nations with regard to sustainable development. It is a product of the Earth Summit (UN Conference on Environment and Development) held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 1992.
When you put money in front of love ?....then you're quickly on your way to wrecking everything that makes what we have why we have it.
I mean, what's seem so funny about peace, love, & understanding ?....do the wealthy laff at these (3) words ?....IDK, but I take them really seriously.
Fuaaark, equality is possible, the problem is the human being and his fuarking ego... Politicians are normal people, they like to feel superior themselves and act totally selfish. This world can only be saved if people start waking up. Not in the sense of waking up every morning, fuaark

Could Agenda 21 be thought of as a political manifesto for the Multinationals?
Could Agenda 21 be thought of as a political manifesto for the Multinationals?
That is an interesting question Ghosty.
There are a lot of people who are weary of the Agenda 21 (updated to Agenda 2030 program) - which has already started. The 17 point outline looks like this:

It all looks very humanitarian & yippee lets jump for joy on the surface.
What is really going on behind the smokescreens? There is a lot of speculation on the net for those who are interested.
Here is a link for one of the offical sites for a 'global partnership'.

I recently became aware of a major scam on eBay. Hackers in China are selling flash drives with less memory than they advertise. Users like PikesPeakTraders sell thousands of 'hacked' flash drives from China. The problem is that the hackers change a log file that makes the flash drive think it has more memory than it does. When you receive the drive, if you right click and go to properties it will display a larger amount of memory than it really has- so when you put data on it that exceeds it's actual memory, old data will be deleted.
This problem is nearly impossibly for the average Joe to detect because the flash drive looks and works normally- until it's memory is filled. Ebay has been seemingly overrun by scam artists selling falsely listed items- avoid buying anything that's not a well-known brand name from Ebay at all costs!
Not me, I'm dumb.
Has anyone heard of this?:
