its a phonetic language. each symbol is a sound, if you know what each symbols sound is, its just english with extra steps

basically, as i said before, each symbol has a sound associated with it. before you say english is a phonetic language, its not because things aren't pronounced consistently. you can have a sentence contain OUGH a bunch, and never say it the same way.
