This world will end within the next 100 years

It is an inevitable fact. Due to our constant need to produce more and to do everything faster and faster we tend to not give a sh*t about our environment. The result is the depletion of important natural ressources that allowed us to have this unnatural economic system in the first place. Without a massive change we are lost, lets face it. Its only a matter of time until we collapse.

I didn't know you were concerned with such matters Mickey

As a citizen of this world I am highly concerned sir.

Excretion follows consumption.  So we do give a sh*t.  Anyway this message is so important that I'm making a million laminated paper printouts to distribute.  That should save the world.

True, but we do not sh*t out exactly what we consume. We only sh*t out the things that are toxic for our body.

That is a very good start, but it depends on what you print on those papers?

Only if everyone does what you do.

Wow this is information I never knew!! Who would have thought humans are changing the environment??????

They are not changing it good sir, they are destroying it. To the point that it will not be able to regenerate like it naturally does.  Everything in nature goes through natural growth, trees get bigger and bigger but at some point when they are big enough they will only grow very slowly until they stop growing further. Our financial and economic system do not follow this natural growth. They follow exponential growth. You know why that can never work? Because exponential growth has no end to it, it goes from growing slowly to growing faster and faster until the graph is nearly vertical. Somebody has to suffer under this unnatural growth, our mother earth ;).

You are wrong. Firstly, I'd say what you're talking about will take more than a hundred years.

Secondly: The conditions for humans will be worse, but Earth will survive. And so will humanity. It takes really much to destroy one of these two.

I agree that earth and humanity will eventually survive but NOT without a massive change first. Probably when things heat up people will group together and find a new system that works. The system we have right now will not work anymore in 100 years. Just saying.

Just because life is pleasent for the first world countries right now does not mean it is gonna be like this forever. A system that works against nature can never last forever.

man you are going to have to reduce that estimate. now if you said the world was going to end in "our" lifetime, then people might actually get up off their ass and take notice. not many give too much thought about their kids.

saying things like that will never turn around the ecological crisis.

you wanna know how the earth will look in 100 years then if we continue like this? like this: dry and empty

Massive changes are happening to our planet but nobody gives a sh*t. Its more interesting to see the newest Kim Kardashian outfits or worry about football.

I think we have larger window of time.... I also believe we humans will not accept extinction should things become undeniable...

people have been saying like 100 years for a long time, no one knows the truth.

true but this is the thing with exponential growth. At first it grows slowly and you hardly notice a change but then all of a sudden the graph goes up and up and up and up. We have seen climatic changes in the recent years in a speed that´s never been seen before. To keep our economic system growing we need more and more ressources, everything in our system is growing exponentially. Debths, credit, new money in general, our need to constantly make everything faster, our need of ressources. Unlimited growth just does not work, it eventually reaches a point where everything collapses.
