What I found though is when you break , and actually take a long hard look at what you are, you find that what you've been conditioned to believe, that free will exists and we have to try to love, doesn't exist at all.

I'm not sure actually I would say that my position is everything is determined Md.

When you think about things on a quantum level you see that Newtonian laws no longer hold .

But you know hawking and Einstein both found that for human beings causality is king and free will is an illusion . That matched my experience when I mapped my mind for over a decade .

My own feeling is that the burden of proof should be on the existence of free will rather than the opposite .

I take tryst's point that our experience in the main tells us otherwise but when we stop to think about it why should we take the position that a bunch of cells and chemicals can determine the future like mini gods? It's incredibly ego centric and self important .

But then we human's have a record of believing the world revolves around us. We insignificant specks of dust, it's a joke really our arrogance.

I like you guys and I want to know what you've wrote here and for you to know if you write here someone will read it .

interesting. This guy seems to be talking about the absence of the ego in the same way I talk about really free will doesn't exist and the I is a delusion.

 

What's interesting to me is that he's talking about the implications of that. If it's true that really we don't exist at all how would that change how we see things and how we should see things?
