One thing I can say is it doesn't give a shit.

But then how can that be true when many of us are caring?

I suppose though it's all about survival of the fittest. The creatures prone to love triumphed . They worked as a team and reared their young effectively .

It reaches this point for me before I get stuck.

I see that nature is heartless but I also see that human beings are smart.

I wonder if being smart can make you care or does it not work like that?

Hawking talked about the laws that have created us being very special and said that how that's possible is that the anthropic principles applies and there are many universes without life.

Okay I want to get serious. Nature . What is it I do and don't know?

Well I know that there are animals that aren't loving. I can demonstrates why using science .

So clearly not every life form loves. The loving life form which is us has triumphed .

Perhaps that we love is part of the reason why.

So if we take away that we love then what does that leave?

We are capable of understanding. Empathy. We can recognise what's fair and unfair. A calculation.

I wonder if it's possible to know what's right and wrong but not give a shit.

I guess the voles without the oxytocin weren't aware that there behaviour was unfair .


Does understanding that we all have needs automatically mean we'll try to help?

I suppose plenty of people ignore those in need. We all do to an extent don't we?

Maybe that's why I've been baffled at why we humans ignore some that suffer.

It's natural to care when it suits us and we are deluded if we believe our caring is noble.

And yet people sacrifice their lives for others.

Thinking about it I guess you could argue those that fought the deadly virus where helping their families too in a round about way.

I'm getting confused again .

Okay so love is natural. A part of nature. It can be explained through chemicals like oxytocin.

So now the ability to see fairness . I guess you have to look at what would motivate a person to behave with fairness without love .

It would be for a selfish reason otherwise I suspect . We would think let's have equality because I want to live in an equitable society .
