Transfer photos from phone to computer Android

I plug the phone into the computer and it says 'USB port inactive, you can charge the phone only. Please insert a SIM card after powering you phone off and then power it on again to activate the USB port (this is to prevent malicious third parties from installing unauthorized apps into your device.)'

Looking to do the photo transfer without a SIM card. Any ideas?

Upload them all to a file sharing service like Dropbox or one of the other clouds. Then you will be able to access them from anywhere.

That's cool and i've already done that, but i want to save them to my computer.

Edit: The cloud i'm using doesn't allow me to download large amounts of photos to the computer. Actually if I try to save even one then it saves as a webpage and not a photo.

Any ideas?
