What's a troll? I see the word alot. I first saw it when Harvey Price was "being targeted by trolls". In this sense I understood it to be people who said nasty stuff on line just to be nasty. It was no longer a thing that lived under a bridge and ate Billy goats gruff. But sometimes I see it used and it just seems to mean "your opinion is different to mine therefore you are a troll". For example I say I like the sun, someone else prefers the snow and so I am a troll for having a different opinion... Or they are. Is a troll a nasty person or just some different to you?

Further to this I have read about blocking trolls. So does this mean that anyone who has an opinion different to ours (and therefore by definition a troll) then needs to be silenced. I've always thought that of I block anyone it shows that I think they are cleverer than me and I'm scared of them. I guess the beauty of this site is that we are different. Celebrate diversity!

I only block if the individual comes off desiring it from me😂 …but, will very quickly rectify such were that culprit to agree they were not so nice and desire an apology, and I’d be delighted..

I don't know how old you are but am assuming you're not 12 :) (I'm 57). Do you remember when this stuff was sorted quickly by coats down and 2 minutes behind the bike shed? Or maybe that was just my school!

We had bullies (another word that's often misused) and we had "silly people". But we didn't have the Internet (in 1981 our school didn't even have a computer) and so people tending not to "troll" as it might end up in some after school fisticuffs
