ucsc caves

a long time ago, when i was 15 or 16. me and my friends used to go

into this cave up at ucsc. we were pretty wild at that time,especially

me. it was called hell hole. we would go in when the sun came up

in the morning, and it would be dark when we came out. i remember

we ha to drag a large spool of string, tied it to something outside the

cave and the last persons responsability was to take care of the string.

we would take two disposable flashlights apiece. usually the would be in our

mouth as we went along. i remember two resting areas, about two hours in

there was a large cave you could light candles and rest, then about 4 and a half

hours in was a smallers resting area. if you went far enough there was a large metal bar with a rope you climbed down into a hole and signed a book. it took

awhile to go back out. anyway its early, i have to get to work.
