Undertale fans reccomend the game?

I’ve been interested in trying it for awhile now, but when I ask people about it, they always say it’s better if you try it not being ready for what’s to come, whatever that means. So is it a good game?

I remember a friend telling me recently something about it being like your actions impact how the story progresses and I thought to myself “sounds like IO lol”
But anyways, anyone else is it worth it just making sure before I pull out my card

You have to play through it multiple times to get the full experience though
